After more than a year of preparation I am really in Bangkok. The things that were the toughest on me, were packing, it was all so vague. What would happen to my dog, my car, all my stuff, and my friends.
Everyone took such good care of Me. It was really so great. Mom took the car, Tera took care of Tiffy (I will never feel I have told her enough how grateful I am). That part hurt a lot, I love that little dog so much and I don’t think she will survive two more years. I left my stuff with Geoff and got it shipped off to the appropriate storage facility – Tera’s or Mom’s! Bob (current boyfriend) let me down emotionally, not too easy, but enough so I would believe it and feel foolish if I felt hurt. Which I did. I will miss the things I did regularly, like Cowboy Dancing and hanging out with Sherree and Suzanne at the cowboy bar.
Thailand is so cool, pretty much what I expected so far. The people are as nice as I have always heard. The land of smiles is definitely true! What is really great is they are not used to westerners, even in Bangkok. USA is a long way away. People will stare at us and if you smile they smile real big and then turn away shy.
